To give our dogs the freedom to experience the world, use their bodies freely, and have time to thoroughly sniff what they want, it is an immense advantage to be able to walk your dog off-leash in areas that are suitable for this.

In order to let your dog off the leash, it is essential that we can call it back to us when needed!

Learn how to work towards the perfect solid recall with your dog.

Training recall can easily become a hassle. It is often a daily need for us to call our dog, and if the dog does not respond, how do we avoid falling into a vicious spiral of frustration, stress and sore vocal cords?

Do you know that dog that once could, but now "doesn't bother" to come when you call? And have you met the type of dog that knows how long your arm is and stays 3cm further away from you when you want to put the leash on?

Calling is a training exercise, on par with a “deck” or a “space.” Therefore, it also needs to be trained systematically, and it helps to have a clear strategy before you begin.

The feeling you get when you call your dog and it comes charging towards you, with its tongue flying and ears out to the side – that's the feeling we need to get to grips with, in both dogs and humans.
In my world, the perfect call is entirely driven by the dog's desire to choose you and everything else around it when you call it - and that is a hard core skill to master!
