Wonderful dog weekend at Rosenholmslot

Herlig hundeweekend på Rosenholmslot

Today I've been allowed to borrow my mother's blog. I'd like to tell you about when I took my mother to dog days at Rosenholm Castle in May. And you can imagine there was a lot to see.

On Fridays, my mother thinks we should try herding sheep. I did just fine. I actually thought I had already become so good at it that I should be allowed to herd the horses we meet on our walks. But my mother is just the most boring. Imagine if she expected me to HAVE to walk past them nicely.

For the dog days, my mother had also signed me up for a lot of fun competitions. On Friday, I took part in an obstacle course. The goal was to run to its owner first. There were a lot of temptations on the course, such as toys and treats. Many of the other dogs stopped and sniffed and ate, but I was too busy getting home to my mother - imagine if she disappeared from me. In fact, I ran so fast that I came in second and won a huge trophy and a lot of food.

We also participated in a trick competition. I'm just the world's coolest trick dog, because of course I won.

On Saturday, my mom had signed us up for a race. You could choose between 3, 6 or 10 km, but my mom is in bad shape, so she had only chosen 3 km. It was crazy fun because you had to go through a lot of obstacles on the way: up on straw bales, crawling under things, up and down slopes and over puddles.

I was so happy on the trip that I almost didn't have the patience to wait for my slow mom. But she has promised that we will train for many more races.

On Sunday we participated in a competition to be the most wagging dog. It was about charming the judge as much as possible. And if there's one thing I'm good at, it's charming the people around me. So don't you think I'll manage to win that competition too?

My mom also had a plan for us to try exhibiting during the weekend, but that exhibition stuff is just too boring, so we got out of there pretty quickly.

Because I was just the coolest dog, I came home with a lot of goodies. Mom says we now have food for a very long time - but she can just wait, I know exactly where she hides it all.

She also says I have to share with Balto. It's okay, he's my brother, but as long as I get the most.

Hey hey from Lucky.

Behind the scenes of this week's blogger

My name is Mette, I am the happy owner of 2 beautiful dogs. Balto, who is a 6-year-old Coton de Tulear, and Lucky, who is a Shetland Sheepdog, who is just under 2 years old.

I am super active with my dogs, spending many hours training and on the competition tracks.

As a child I had very bad selective mutism. But thanks to the dogs I have moved on with life and my fear of speaking.
